The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Stowe Area Association / GoStowe welcomes the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Snowsport History Week attendees to Stowe, Vermont. Come to the BieerHall at von Trapp Brewing Co. to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar to kick off the week of events. Proceeds from event will be split between the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.

Join us at the brewery for a private tour of the von Trap Brewing Company facility hosted by the von Trapp family. Snow-100’s best films of 2016 will preview their trailers and be presented by the film director followed by Q&A regarding the making of the movies. Help us celebrate some of the best snow films of all times. Special this year – we will be honoring VT’s own Rick Moulton and his film as well as his dedication to helping organize this event each year! Five films will be inducted. Cash bar available during the event.

All snowsport organization members from participating organization listed will receive $35 LIFT TICKETS at Stowe Mountain Resort. Join us for a tailgate social in the morning to kick off the day! Enjoy the slopes and comradery of our rich snowsport history. Share stories with other like-minded snow enthusiasts on the lift and come eat at our tailgate when you need a break!
Come meet people from snowsport organizations and historic non-profits. Become a member or a Patron of the Hall of Fame and if you are already a supporter receive one $35.00 lift ticket to Stowe Mountain Resort.

Racing Mt. Mansfield | Billy Kidd
Meet at the Main Gondola at 8:00 to take a few runs with ski legends and end up at the Octagon Summit House for a presentation at 9:00. Breakfast sandwiches and coffee will be served. Listen to Billy Kidd tell stories and talk about what it was like to grow up ski racing in Stowe and seeing Mt. Mansfield grow into what it is today.

National Ski Patrol in the Making
Come and witness the telling of an amazing presentation of how Mt. Mansfield came to be. Roland Palmedo’s Amateur Ski Club of NY scouted the mountain in his Bi-Plane and then toted members in 1934 to check out the luring slopes.
Join Rick and follow his collection of historic snap shots and colorful descriptions of the people and their lore. How legends like Charles Dole, Roger Dangley, Sepp Ruschp and Sir Livingston Longfellow shaped Stowe and lead the way in building the first lifts, Mt. Mansfield Ski Club, The PSIA and the National Ski Patrol AKA – “The Super Patrol”.
Don’t miss this evening, cocktail reception followed by dinner and this unforgettable story! The Midway Lodge, at the base of the Gondola will be the historic venue for this memorable evening.
